Protest Rally in Lloret
Posted on 14 March 2010 by admin
Around sixty Lloret de Mar neighbors gathered outside the church last night to protest the situation that they had endured in recent days due to the lack of electricity. Although there is now power supplied by generators and temporary cables from Blanes, protesters carried candles.
The association of traders at El Molino, Can Sabata and Can Rieral have called for a 17 day protest against the power companies. They plan to leave the area at the edge of the town at four in the afternoon, and gather outside the town hall square. In addition, from four until six o’clock, the shops will be closed. The association wants the Endesa to be accountable for damages caused by the snowstorm of last Monday.
