Diane Wakeford is a well known face in the area after working in the Costa Brava hospitality trade for the last thirty years. She came to live on the Costa Brava from the UK in the late seventies, and currently lives in Lloret de Mar. Her hobbies include reading, writing, cooking, but most of all watching Catalunya’s favourite team, Barcelona FC in action.

Deborah Green arrived in Spain in 1981. She planned to work the summer season on the Costa Brava and return to the UK in the autumn to continue studying. However 29 years later she still lives in Spain, in a rural location between Girona and Lloret de Mar. Owned by five rescued cats and three dogs her local interests include working towards improved conditions for strays in the area.
